Our aim is to facilitate waste collection in trains

VALIDATION OF CONCEPT

User testing

User Validation

We had a silent testing with just had the posters in every seating area to instruct the users about the bin . In spite of the chaos we still noticed users use the bin with care and curiosity. We noticed that people refrained from throwing trash out of the window with a bin installed.

In the end of the 4 hour journey we collected feedback.

We facilitated 90% waste collection in the testing phase of the coach dustbins.

FINDINGS

Brainstorming and concept refinement

FINAL CONCEPT

Manufacturing Plan

Lastly,

We further submitted this proposal to Indian Railways and the PM office with installation and maintenance plans suitable for implementation in current train infrastructure.
